With summer now officially behind us, it is perhaps time to consider thinking about water storage.
Water Storage Has Many Uses
While the end of summer, beginning of fall, often brings with it lovely warm weather in the Lower Mainland of BC, rain is coming. If you live on the West Coast you will know that we’re often called the “Wet Coast”.
With this in mind, it’s good to be prepared for different scenarios by using the correct type of tank (also called cistern) to collect water.
According to a fact sheet on the Government of Manitoba website, stored water can be used:
- to supplement a low yielding private water well
- as an emergency water supply
- for seasonal/occasional use (i.e. gardening, lawns)
At Clarion Tanks we have a wide variety of water storage tanks. Mike gives a brief breakdown in this video:
We created a series in 2021 about a rainwater collection system, and some more detailed specifics about the collection process. If you’d like to watch that, please click here.
